The Department of Quantitative Economics was established in 2014. Our main research objective is to provide high-quality studies publishable in top-ranked journals. We carry out both empirical and theoretical research in micro- and macroeconomics.
We also provide courses that are closely related to our core research activity. This includes bachelor, master and PhD courses offered at SGH. We coordinate at SGH the QEM (Models and Methods of Quantitative Economics) programme which is an EU-approved Erasmus Mundus Master Course international graduate degree programme taught full-time for students with special interest in quantitative economics. All team members offer bachelor and master seminars while the most experienced faculty also supervise Ph.D. candidates.
