Krzysztof Kluza is currently a senior lecturer at Warsaw School of Economics (WSE), Poland. He obtained PhD degree at the WSE in 2005. He was the Fulbright Scholar at Columbia University, New York City and also a scholar of the Foundation for Polish Science. At WSE he teaches Public Finance, Change Management and Strategic Project Management courses. His research interests focus on the fields of local government finances, strategy development and change management. He has over 20 years of experience in the area of the management, organization change and corporate finance in the manufacturing and financial sector. Among others, he worked as the Chief Financial Officer of multinational manufacturing company, Chief Executive Officer of large domestic manufacturer and Executive Director of the state development bank in Poland.
Malgorzata Knauff (PhD: Catholic University of Louvain la Neuve, Belgium, 2006, habilitation: University of Warsaw, 2016) is interested in industrial organization and competition policy. She published eg. in Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Economic Theory and Economic Theory. She paid a number of research visits, among others in Canada (Waterloo), Belgium (Louvain la Neuve), USA (Tucson), Germany (Bonn). Teaching: in Polish (Ekonomia gałęziowa, Ekonomia niedoskonałej konkurencji) and in English (Industrial Economics) She received a scholarship for outstanding young scientists form Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Co-organizes Warsaw Economic Seminar, coordinates QEM in SGH.
Assistant professor at the Warsaw School of Economics, doctor of Economic Sciences, coordinator of a doctoral programme at the Collegium of Economic Analysis. Co-creator of the Polish derivative market, active in the financial market since 1996 in numerous banks as market maker and head of trading. Since 2012 cooperating with the Gdansk Institute for Market Economics where he implemented the Money Market Monitoring System. Member of the Reference Rates Council in 2013-2015 and a member of the Financial Market Association ACI Poland, co-author of the Polish version of the International Code of Conduct and Practice of the Financial Markets. The author of two books: “Currency option market in Poland” and “Market making on the over-the counter financial markets”.
MSc in Finance with distinction from Lancaster University and MSc in Economics from University of Warsaw. In 2013 she submitted her doctoral thesis entitled “Dynamic Models of Mergers and Acquisitions” at Lancaster University. She is a Senior Lecturer on sabbatical leave at the Business School University of Exeter. She has teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA level. Her current interests include the effects of ownership changes on firm investment policies, corporate takeovers, private equity and venture capital, and innovation. She obtained a Fellowship to undertake a project on ownership and innovation at SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Collegium of Economic Analysis, Department of Quantitative Economics. The project is financed by European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 665778, National Science Center, Poland.
