The conference will be held in March 10-11, 2016 at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH).
The event is part of the 110-anniversary celebration of the Warsaw School of Economics.
The aim of the conference is to investigate the main factors that stimulate international entrepreneurship of companies and non-profit organizations. During the conference the following questions will be addressed:
• What factors have the strongest influence on companies’ internationalization?
• What are the determinants of innovation and entrepreneurship of organizations? How does supply chain architecture stimulates entrepreneurship?
• What is the relationship between diversity management, internationalization and company performance?
• What are the legal risks inherent in cooperation and internationalization of companies?
• What models of entrepreneurship and internationalization are adopted by non-profit organiza-tions?
• What companies can learn from local governments and NGOs about international entrepreneurship?
These questions will be discussed in four panel sessions:
I. Innovation, cooperation and internationalization of companies
This session is devoted to the most important factors determining the competitiveness of companies including legal frameworks. In the competitive struggle the success often belongs to adequately configured networks of partners that integrate their resources, knowledge and skills. Maintaining a desired position in the market requires using multiple sources of innovation scattered around the world, which also promotes internationalization.
II. Start-ups. New companies on international markets – launch and development
The session is focused on entrepreneurial start-ups, in particular the issues that these companies are fac-ing operating in foreign markets. Of particular interest are business and legal contexts of founding new enterprises, implementing marketing strategies on international markets and new technologies in business.
III. The power of diversity
The aim of the session is to identify the relationship between diversity management and internationalization of enterprises. The discussion will be centered on theoretical issues, legislative actions supporting diversity, and good practices in diversity management of businesses of all sizes operating in a multicultural environment.
IV. International entrepreneurship of the public sector and non-profit organizations
This session discusses activities of the public finance sector, public entities and NGOs aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and international cooperation. The topic of inter-sectoral cooperation – between private, public and non-governmental parties - will be also addressed.
