The aim of the panel session “International Financial Markets and Corporate Finance” is the outlining and the assessment of the main trends on the international financial markets after the recent financial crisis from 2008. Since the outbreak of the crisis many measures have been taken, as well in the euro area, as in the USA, as in many other countries- measures which were aimed at preventing such crises in the future. The mentioned measures encompass a broad range of regulations concerning the functioning of banks and other financial institutions, as well as public finance. Also enterprises active on the domestic and international market are adjusting their financing strategies to the changing conditions, looking for new financing sources. Substantial influence on the modern international financial markets is exerted by the development of new technologies, which bring not only advantages but also increasing competition, as well as many new threats to the stability of the whole financial system.
