Department of Business Economics is happy to announce a Call for Participants for the 1st edition of the SummerLab: Games & Decisions which is to take place in July 2019.
The SummerLab with constist of classes taught by scholars from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, the University of Porto and the Queensland University.
The classes are to take place in Warsaw, 08.07.2019-19.07.2019 (except for the weekend). The topics covered are going to include:
- Advances in Inductive Game Theory
(Jeffrey Jude Kline, University of Queensland, School of Economics),
- Digital Economics: a Game Theoretical Analysis
(Joana Rita Pinho Resende, Paula Sarmento and Joao Correia da Silva: Faculty of Economics of University of Porto),
- Time (In)consistency and Costly Self-control
(Łukasz Woźny, SGH Warsaw School of Economics),
- Range Effects for Decisions Under Risk and Time Delay and Explaining Departures from Nash Equilibrium
(Michał Lewandowski, SGH Warsaw School of Economics),
- Theory of Markets with Asymmetric Information and Strategic Communication
(Joanna Franaszek from SGH Warsaw School of Economics),
- Modelling Preferences for Health States to Support Public Decision Making
(Michał Jakubczyk, SGH Warsaw School of Economics),
Due to financial support by the Polish National Academic Exchange Agency (NAWA), participants are not required to pay any fee for the participation in the SummerLab. Budget accommodation and partial alimentation (three coffee breaks and a lunch during the days when classes are held) are also provided free of charge.
The application process is going to be conducted through the webpage https://games.sgh.waw.pl
. The deadline for the applications is April 7, 2019, 23:59. The SummerLab is targeted at graduate students, but the recruitment process is open also to other interested parties. The participants will be chosen based on submitted applications, with provided declaration of interest in the topic of the SummerLab, hitherto academic achievements and proficiency in English constituting the major criteria of selection.
