 ChemMultimodal Project

​From June 1, 2016 to May 31, 2019, the Department of Logistics,Collegium of Business Administration, Warsaw School of Economics is a partner of research consortium for Interreg CE project "ChemMultimodal"

The ChemMultimodal Project aims to promote the multimodal transport of chemical goods in Central Europe. Regional authorities, chemical industry associations and scientific institutions from seven regions in Central and Eastern Europe are working together to improve safety and environmental protection of chemical transports on the one hand, and also to ensure competitively and economically feasible solutions on the other.

The ChemMultimodal Project is run within INTERREG Central Europe with a budget of 2.4 mln EUR. Within Warsaw School of Economics the Project is managed by Dr Katarzyna Nowicka.

 BestLog Project

​​From 2006 to 2010, the Department of Logistics was a member of a research consortium for the BestLog project, operating under the Sixth Framework Program, and financed by DG TREN. The project's aim was to create a permanent, non-commercial and self-financing European platform for improving supply-chain management practices across Europe. 

Other partners of BestLog Project included: European Logistics Association (ELA), and Technische Universität Berlin (Germany), Oxford University (Great Britain), University of St. Gallen (Switzerland), and Chalmers Institute (Sweden). In September 2009, Warsaw School of Economics togehter with Saïd Business School, University of Oxford organized an international conference titled “Transferability of Best Practices”. 

Upon completion of the BestLog Project, the Department of Logistics, SGH actes as an expert partner on the ELA BestLog Platform​
