 Asst. Prof. Katarzyna Archanowicz-Kudelska, Ph.D.

 

KAK.pngShe specialises in social research, sustainable development issues, research ethics and qualitative research techniques. Social and economic psychologist (University of Warsaw) and PhD in sociology (SWPS University).  

She combines her scientific interests with her work as a research consultant and workshop facilitator and trainer (she graduated from the Intra Centre for Business Coaching School). She lectures at the University of Warsaw and USWPS. Author of scientific and industry publications, as well as conference and workshop presentations combining theoretical and practical knowledge. She has completed over 4000 hours of group work - focus group interviews (FGI), panels, workshops and trainings conducted for international corporations, local companies and non-governmental institutions. For several years, she worked at commercial research agencies, in the last one leading a qualitative research team. She is a member of the Polish Psychological Association (PTP), the Polish Sociological Association (PTS) and the Polish Association of Market and Opinion Researchers (PTBRiO).

 Assoc. Prof. Marzenna Cichosz, Ph.D.

 

​​MC.pngLecturer, trainer, author of books, articles, and reports in logistics and supply chain management. She holds her Ph.D and Dr. Hab. degrees from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. In her research career, she was a visiting scholar and researcher in universities around the world, incl. Ohio State University (USA), University of Navarra (Spain), St. Gallen University (Switzerland), Lund University (Sweden). She gained experience also during business projects conducted for companies in the logistics services, retail, e-commerce, and chemical industries. In 2014-17, a researcher in the international project with Ohio State University (USA) "Innovation Alignment in Logistics Outsourcing Relationship" on managing co-creation of logistics innovations. In 2016-18, a researcher in the European project "Promotion of Multimodal Transport in Chemical Logistics (ChemMultimodal)" within Interreg Central Europe where she co-created a tool to reduce CO2 emissions. Currently, her research interests focus on investigating how to strengthen the innovativeness of logistics companies undergoing a digital transformation to meet the requirements of business growth while limiting their climate impact and enhancing social responsibility. Member of the Polish Supply Management Association (PSML). Supervisor of SGH students in "Top Young 100".

 Assoc. Prof. Joanna Cygler, Ph.D.

 

JC.jpgShe received the Ph.D and Dr. Hab. degrees from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. She specializes in broadly understood international business cooperation (bilateral and network). She was the recipient of the J. Fulbright Scholarship (Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, USA), as well as the Foundation for Polish Science Scholarship. Associate Professor at the Department of Infrastructure and Mobility Studies, the Institute of Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility (Collegium of Management and Finance) at the Warsaw School of Economics. For the Ph.D. thesis titled:  Zmiany zachodzące w pozycji i strategii rynkowej oraz systemie zarządzania przedsiębiorstw polskich pod wpływem aliansów strategicznych z partnerami zagranicznymi (The influence of strategic alliances with foreign partners on position, market strategy and management systems of Polish companies) she received the Karol Adamiecki Award in 2000. Her habilitation thesis titled: Coopetition of Enterprises. Sectoral and Corporate factors (Kooperencja przedsiębiorstw. Czynniki sektorowe i korporacyjne) received the Polish Academy of Sciences Award in the competition for the best habilitation paper in the field of Management, defended in 2007-2009. She successfully combines her scientific experience and business practice with substantive collaboration with central governmental institutions, international organizations (the UN and the World Economic Forum), international consulting companies and numerous Polish and foreign enterprises. Author and co-author of multiple publications, and coordinator of many research and business projects (Polish and international). Prof. Cygler is head of Executive MBA Studies at the Institute of Economics, Polish Academy of Sciences. Initiator and one of the main coordinators for R&D projects in the area of unmanned aerospace vehicles, or UAV (The Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation with NIAS, NASA and UBER) – one of the biggest research projects jointly conducted by Polish and American research institutes. Since 2016 - the Director’s Proxy for Scientific Development at the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Aviation.

 Asst. Prof. Adam Hoszman

 

AH.pngHe specializes in air transport economics and transport accessibility. Lectures in Airline Business, Transport Services Marketing, European Air Transport Market and other courses. Adam has broad research experience and has led a couple of projects on air transport management, including airport charges management. He is an author and co-author of 30+ books and papers on transport economics and transport policy. Adam’s business experience includes consulting for airports and state institutions (delivering benchmarking analyses, designing new schedules of airport charges, etc.). He is also a court expert specializing in air transport market and competition law cases. Guest lecturer in MSc Aerospace Management and Aerospace MBA programs at Toulouse Business School and Aerospace MBA program at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.

 Assoc. Prof. Bartosz Grucza, Ph.D.

 

BG.jpgHe received the Ph.D and Dr. Hab. degrees from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. Head of the Department of Research on Infrastructure and Mobility, Institute of Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility at the Warsaw School of Economics. Member of the Council for companies with the Treasury shareholding and state legal persons. In 2013-2016 chancellor of the Warsaw School of Economics, in 2006-2008 chancellor of the Medical Academy in Warsaw and the Medical University of Warsaw. A graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics and a long-term employee of the Project Management Department at the Warsaw School of Economics, co-founder and lecturer at the Postgraduate Project Management Programme. Project manager and consultant in the field of project management. Manager, who has been implementing projects in private enterprises and public institutions for several years. A long-term member of The National Centre for Research and Development Stakeholder Committee. R&D director in the SPV company implementing projects in the field of artificial intelligence in management optimization.
Co-author of a number of publications and popular textbooks in the field of project management and management. Member and former President of the Board of the Association of Project Managers, member of PMI and IPMA, promoter of the idea of ​​management in the academic, business and social environment..

 Assoc. Prof. Magdalena Kachniewska, Ph.D.

 

MK.jpgShe received the Ph.D and Dr. Hab. degrees from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. She has spent 25 years teaching, researching and consulting in sustainable tourism development and new business models in digital economy, including business digital environment, data-based experience management, smart tourism development, social media marketing strategies and mobile marketing (SoCoMo), and new business models in digital economy. Together with Q&Q Travel and Wrocław University of Science and Technology, she implements the three-year project "Intelligent system of searching for tourist offers based on natural language understanding algorithms", and in cooperation with the Gdańsk University of Technology, the project "Intelligent system of price prediction of travel packages using advanced methods of fusion of multidimensional data and learning machine (ePREDYKTOUR)".  She is a strategic management and marketing expert with specialisation in ICT, smart environments and interactive marketing. She frequently delivers keynote presentations in both academic and professional conferences. She has close collaborations with industry and local governments ensuring her conclusions have the utmost relevance and impact on the real world whilst constantly pushing the boundaries of knowledge and academic excellence.

 Prof. Bogusław Liberadzki, PH.D.

 

BL.jpgHe received the Ph.D and Dr. Hab. degrees from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. In 1986-87 Professor, Fulbright Scholar, University of Illinois, USA. In 1998 he received the title of Professor. At present, he is a member of the European Parliament, fourth term. Former head of Department of Transport at the Warsaw School of Economics (now Institute of Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility).  He was a Vice-President for the European Parliament. In years 1989-93 Deputy Minister and in 1993-97 Minister of Transport and Maritime Economy. 1997-2004 he was a member of the Polish Parliament. Awarded with Medal of the National Education Commission, Silver- and Golden Cross of Merit.

 Assoc. Prof. Kamil Liberadzki, Ph.D.

 

KL.jpgHe received the Ph.D and Dr. Hab. degrees from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. He graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics (Finance and Banking Faculty) and the Law Faculty at the Warsaw University, Poland. He lectures on investment banking, financial market regulation and supervision, investment portfolio modelling, bond and hybrid securities.. His expertise is on fixed income securities, including issue structuring, risk management and pricing. Liberadzki was a visiting professor at the University of Navarra (Spain) lecturing and researching on bonds and hybrid securities. At present he is a director of the Regulation Development Department at the Polish Financial Supervision Authority. He is a member of the European Banking Authority (EBA) Board of Supervisors (BoS).  Kamil Liberadzki was elected Member of the EBA Management Board for the term 2021-2024.

 Assoc. Prof. Marcin Liberadzki, Ph.D.

 

ML.jpgHe holds master’s degrees in finance and banking at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) and law (the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Law), as well as Ph.D. and Dr hab. in economic science from the SGH. Conducts researching on sustainable finance, green bonds, hybrid securities, project finance and public - private partnership in financing of infrastructure, banking regulation. A member of SGH senate, 2020 - 24 term. After passing the examinations of the Law Society of Warsaw has been made a legal adviser/advocate. He runs own law firm „Liberadzki & Partners” in Warsaw, Poland. He is economic advisor to the Speaker of the Polish Senate.

 Prof. Elżbieta Marciszewska, PH.D.

 

EM.jpgSince 1975 employed at the WSE. She received the Ph.D and Dr. Hab. degrees from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. In 2014, she was awarded the title of professor. She was the head of the Department of Business in Transport at the Collegium of Management and Finance (KZiF). She was deputy dean of KZiF, deputy dean of the Undergraduate Study. She was a member of the Scientific Board of the Institute of Aviation. Co-founder and head of postgraduate studies, including: Management and Financing in the Air Transport Sector and Space Management in the New Economy. Expert of the National Program FORESIGHT Poland 2020. She has conducted several dozen research projects, also in international teams. Author of over 175 publications, related to the transport market, in particular the aviation market. Member of the program councils of many conferences, incl. EURO-TRANS, European Transport Congress. A recognized aviation expert, author of several expert opinions, among others commissioned by the Ministry of the Treasury, the Ministry of Transport, the Senate of the RP and the European Parliament. Lecturer at the WSE, as well as a part of LLP / Erasmus program at foreign universities. Founding member of the Polish Aviation Club. Repeatedly awarded for scientific achievements by the ministers of transport and the Rector of the WSE. Decorated, with Medal of the National Education Commission, Medal of the University of Pardubice and the Croatian Scientific Society for Transport. In 2017 she was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta..

 Prof. Wojciech Paprocki, Ph.D.

 

WP.jpgHe received the Ph.D and Dr. Hab. degrees from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. In 2005 he received the title of Professor. Since 2019 has he been the Director of the Institute of Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility. The main fields of his research interests include services in the sectors of logistics and mobility, development and implementation of digital technologies including narrow artificial intelligence, management tools inside the concept of Industry 4.0. He is active in several interdisciplinary groups of researchers who are interested in the development of competences of children, youth and adults. He is an author of 3 books, more than 30 chapters in books, and over 50 articles in journals and conference proceedings.

 Asst. Prof. Michał Wolański, Ph.D.

 

MW.jpgHe specializes in sustainable urban mobility, infrastructure construction, rail transport, rural transport, as well as evaluation and EU funds. He was on PostDoc scholarships at the University of Leeds, Institute for Transport Studies and the University of Sydney, Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies, and during his studies - at the Faculty of Business Engineering of the Westfälische Hochschule and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk. At SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Michał lectures Project Feasibility Study and has managed four editions of the Raliway Manager postgraduate studies, dedicated for PKP Intercity and DB Cargo Polska.
Author of several dozen publications, including two monographs - on the demonopolization of public transport and public-private partnership, and the main co-author of the third one on public transport in rural areas. Co-author of articles in international scientific journals on electromobility, the use of board in regulatory impact assessment and tendering transport services, as well as an international handbook on the transport economics methodology.
Participant of international research projects related to electromobility, such as Trolley, TIDE, Eliptic and Trolley 2.0. Currently, he runs the STAFFER project on behalf of SGH Warsaw School of Economics, concerning the shaping of human resources for rail transport - as part of an international consortium, involving leading European universities, carriers and suppliers. He also conducts advisory activities, cooperating with such entities as the World Bank, the Center for EU Transport Projects, or the Polish ministry responsible for regional development. He conducted projects concerning, inter alia, regulation of the bus market in Serbia and evaluation of the impact of EU investments in transport in the financial perspective 2007-2013. Currently Michał manages support framework to Polish local governments in the implementation of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans. As part of his advisory activity at SGH Warsaw School of Economics, he was also the head of several court expert witness opinions on the infrastructure construction market and two market studies commissioned by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe (Polish railway network manager).

In his spare time, he also runs a public transport bus, often a hybrid one.

 Asst. Prof. Paweł Zagrajek, Ph.D.

 

PZ.jpgDoctor of economic sciences in the discipline of management (doctoral dissertation on topics related to business models and economics of air carriers). He has been associated with the aviation industry for nearly 20 years, during which he combined practical work experience (Centralwings, PLL LOT, Civil Aviation Authority, Welcome Airport Services and the European Commission - DG MOVE) with scientific work. He has experience in both the functioning of the market and regulatory issues. Currently, an assistant professor at the Warsaw School of Economics and the owner of Aero-Plan - a company providing consulting services in the field of air transport. He sat as a Polish representative in many international bodies, including: Deputy for Economic Affairs of the Polish Representative on the ICAO Council, member of the Air Transport Regulation Panel ICAO, Aviation Data and Analysis Panel ICAO, Community Observatory on Airport Capacity, ECAC Chief Economists Group and ECAC Economic Working Group. Author of many publications in Polish and English on air transport. Author of expert opinions and consulting projects, incl. in the field of air transport infrastructure, cargo market and aviation protection against unlawful interference. He conducted trainings in the field of air transport in Poland and abroad. Participant of numerous research projects and grants. Participant of international aviation trainings (IATA and Cranfield University). Certified internal auditor and instructor in the field of civil aviation security. At the Warsaw School of Economics, he offers classes on the air cargo market and co-shares other classes on logistics and transport issues.

 Asst. Prof. Jakub Zawieska, Ph.D.

 

JZ.jpgHe holds a Ph.D in Economics, is an assistant professor in the Institute of Infrastructure, Transport and Mobility of the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. He deals with the issues of sustainable and digital mobility, transport economics, aspects of the implementation and creation of transport policy, electrification of the transport sector as well as the concept of intelligent cities. In the years 2012–2013, he was on the academic scholarship from Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT) in Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG) and Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil (LNEC) in Lisbon, where he expanded his knowledge and experience on theoretical and methodological aspects of transport policy and transport economics, including, inter alia, the internalisation of external environmental costs in the transport sector. Since 2021 he is leads the research team of Warsaw School of Economics in two international research projects funded within the EEA Grants -  Comobility (https://comobility.edu.pl/) and Greencoin (http://greencoin.pl/). Research fellow in WiseEuropa think tank.
