Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) conducts research in various areas of economics, finance, management and business administration as well as in public policy and political science. Our researchers lead the rankings of internationally recognized academics from Poland, e.g. in RePEc repository.

We employ outstanding scholars not only from the field of economics and management but also from the fields of law, sociology and political science. Their presence is a guarantee of the high level of scientific, research and educational activity of our university. SGH has been awarded by CEEMAN with International Quality Accreditation.

SGH is one of Poland's main research centres in the fields of businss and management, economic policy, finance, banking and European integration. Its renowned academics are strongly involved in the financial and business environments, shaping the country's economic future.

Our authors were awarded numerous prizes for scientific publications and research results, e.g. prestigious awards granted by the National Science Centre, foundations, magazines and renowned institutions. SGH researchers are among experts of the European Commission in the fields of research & innovation as well as social policies. They advise for other institutions of the European Union such as the European Court of Auditors.

SGH is ranked Poland’s top research university in economic sciences with the grade of excellency awarded by Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The research activity concentrates in the institutes, chairs and departments comprised in five Collegia.

Our researchers are engaged in projects financed through competitive tenders by National Science Centre, National Centre for Research and Development along with all financing schemes for science from European Union.

Warsaw School of Economics is regularly one of major beneficiaries of international research grants awarded to projects financed by Seventh Framework Programme (7FP), COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology), Polish-Norwegian Research Fund, EU tenders, Visegrad Fund and other. We are ready to benefit from the new EU programme Horizon 2020.

Institute of Enterprise invites to International Conference

As a result of the categorisation of academic units in 2013, the Collegium of Economic Analysis of the Warsaw School of Economics was given the title of the best academic centre in the field of economic sciences, obtaining the highest credit rating and A+ score.
