The primary focus of the e-Business Unit is the use of the Internet and related technologies in an enterprise. Our approach to both researching and teaching takes foremost the perspective of management, including marketing, however, we are also interested in e-Business from the economics, computer science and financial point of view. The e-Business Unit operates within the structure of the Institute of Computer Science and Digital Economy, and remains in a complementary relationship with its other units, where the view from the perspective of information technology dominates.
The main research areas in the e-Business Unit include:
- strategies and models of e-business, and e-business techniques in traditional businesses
- patterns of consumer behavior on the Internet, in the information and communication systems
- the impact of information and communication technologies on the organization and its stakeholders
- new technologies in marketing
- economic, social, financial and technological factors affecting e-business
